3D Shapes STEM Task
Carroll Class had a super morning creating 3D shapes out of spaghetti and modelling clay, reinforcing a range of mathematical skills and concepts, from measuring accurately to the nearest 0.5cm, to identifying the number of sides and vertices on each shape. They readily problem solved, quickly realising the importance of, and how to achieve, stability, as well as displaying great team work. (The small, stable 3D shapes proved much stronger and survived the move to the windowsill.)
I think it’s fair to say the task wasn’t as easy as the children initially thought it would be! Well done Carroll Class for showing great perseverance, determination and resilience.
