Hot meals are cooked on site at St Columba by our school cook and her assistant who are employed by Hampshire County Council's Catering Service (HC3S).
Children in Year R, Year One and Year Two are entitled to universal free school meals - each child is entitled to a hot, two course meal at their school which will include a meat or non-meat main item, vegetables, potato, pasta or rice, salad and a dessert. We also offer a 3rd option of a picnic menu which includes sandwiches, rolls, wraps or a jacket potato with different toppings each day and a dessert.
Older children may be eligible for free school meals or can purchase one if they would like a school dinner. Year 3-6 children also have an option of a Streets menu in addition to the menus above. Eligibility for free school meals can be checked at https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/freeschoolmeals/juniorsecondary or contact the school office if you need help with this.
Dinners are very reasonably priced at £2.50 per day. We ask for payments to be made in advance at the beginning of the week. We ask where possible for you to pay online via the following link www.schoolmoney.co.uk, directly in to your child's School Money account. If you need any help with this please contact the school office who will be pleased to help. Alternatively, we can also accept cash or card directly to the office. If your child is bringing in money, please ensure that it is in an envelope clearly labelled with the amount enclosed and the days that lunches are required.
HC3S operate a nut free menu and can accommodate children with allergies.
Please see the link below to the current menu operated by HC3S.
